Bigger and better Blackpool Zoo

Baby boom and new attractions enhance the visitor appeal

Blackpool Zoo, which has just been awarded Lancashire Visitor Attraction of the Year by the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board, has experienced a huge baby boom in 2010 and is gearing up for a really wild summer following a host of animal births and the launch of new attractions.

Britain’s biggest sea lion pool burst into action at the end of May and, after a complete overall, it now has its very own beach area and extended 250 seat amphitheatre. Stylish mock rock has replaced the old concrete background and the cascading waterfalls are proving very popular with the sea lions.

Autumn glory at Leeds castle

Fabulous flower arrangements transform the rooms of romantic Leeds Castle in Kent into floral works of art this autumn when The Autumn Glory Flower Festival takes place from October 6-10. UK Coach Awards

The UK Coach Awards are designed to

recognised and reward quality and success in the

uk coach and coach tourism industry - to promote

coaching,to inform customers and quality and

success and to inspire others to follow the winners' examples.   This scheme is a not-for-profit event

especially set up for the benefit of the coaching

and coach tourism industry. The 2011 UK Coach

Awards will be on Thursday 7 April and will be

held in the Ramada Jarvis Piccadilly in Manchester.
